My momma-in-law got us one of those baby food making grinder things about a month ago. Don't get too impressed, because I still buy baby food sometimes to have on hand for days that I'm tired or we're going somewhere and I need something to grab quickly to feed him later. Other than that I'm trying to mash up his own food, the nice thing about it is you can give your baby more variety. There are a lot of fruits and vegetables they don't have as baby food. So...we bought this huge watermelon, and I tried that in the grinder. I expected it to be watery, but it turned out being more like juice. I can't think of a more suitable name given to a fruit. Anyway, I was feeding it to him and the juice would spill out of his mouth onto his chin, and oddly enough it made a heart shape. HA! I tried to hurry and take a picture of it before the drool washed it away. Here's the best pix I could take of it.
It is so appropriate that he would express with his drool what he could not express with his words! I hope that you enjoy the grinder. I seriously used mine for everything: steamed veggies, pasta, eggs, etc. It was good because our kids got used to eating whatever we were eating. Maybe that is why they were never picky eaters...
Scarlett used to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables! I miss feeding her baby food, because she was getting a good balance in her diet. Now it's just apples, hummus, yogurt, and cookies that she constantly asks for. The girl has never been constipated. She turns her nose up at everything else! Thank goodness for her "bitamins" which she loves and always asks for. James is getting cuter and cuter all the time! I just want to kiss him through the computer!
