Aren't they adorable? The train, the fairy, the manger. I love them all. But they are so pricey. Who wants to spend $20-30 on a stocking for heavens sake? Do you think if I got one after Christmas for next year they'd be discounted. Gosh I'm cheap, aren't I?

I can admire such stockings, but I don't covet them. They look like WAY too much work, and I'm afraid that the recipients might grow tired of their "themed" stockings after a few years.
I agree with Linda. Too much work. I've bought stockings on super discount at Fred Meyer's, very plain, as temporary solutions. I want to make our own, but I am the pickiest person on the planet and haven't found anything I like. Think of what James would really like, and then go for it!
As a kid I think he'd love it, because I would have as a kid. Once he becomes a teen he might think it's stupid, but once he's an adult again, he'll appreciate the time and effort I put in to making something special for him. It would probably take me a year to do it though, I'm not really into doing needlework. But, I love the way it looks.
We have cheapo stockings from the $2 aisle at Target, but my dream is to have matching stockings all in white and do a white-themed Christmas. Someday...
