Latest Obsession

Lately I have become totally obsessed with a blog I was introduced to by my good friend Summer. Remember my Shabby Apple post, the dress giveaway? The green dress was made, and designed by this blogger. She has an amazing talent for, not only designing and sewing cute clothes, but crafts and adding onto things that she buys. Here are just a few of her creations: (BTW she also posts amazing things made by people she knows, so not all of these things are made by her)
She has at least 2 daughters, I think, and so she makes a lot of little girl things. Both of these dresses she gave away on her blog.

Other cute girl things, she is constantly giving things away on her blog. She also has links for tutorials on how she makes them.

Megan this pillow totally makes me think of you!

These are my two favorite dresses she's designed and made...

But this one is my all time favorite, the queen of hearts halloween costume she made for her girl...

here her daughter is wearing it, and her other daughter is 'alice' (she also made that costume as well), and I believe that's her husband wearing the rabbit mask.

And other pretty things she's posted.

check out her blog here, and tell/show me if you decide to or made something. :)

I would give anything to dress like that, or to sew like that! Alas, my sewing skills are as yet undeveloped, and my Camryn-dressing skills are equally undertapped. I cringe when I see Camryn practically ROLL in her lunch (which happens nearly every day), and I know if I cared more about how she looked, I'd be forever fussing over her. Plus, she's kind of a rough-and-tumble girl who likes to explore and play and get into stuff, so I comfort myself with the belief that she really is much happier dressed head-to-toe in Target cotton separates! Maybe when she's older, I'll start whipping up some pretties.

Oh, and those headbands and necklaces are to DIE for. I wish I felt pretty enough and elegant enough to wear them.

By the way, that Queen of Hearts costume is so out of this world!!! If my stepdad caught wind of it, he'd be begging me to make Camryn one of her own. He of course, would go as the Mad Hatter--the creeptacular Johnny Depp version.

I'm totally adding this blog to my Favorites list!!!

Cute! Cute! Cute! I am adding her blog to my googlereader as we speak. It makes me want to design my own dresses...oh wait, I have no idea how to do that. (sigh)

Thanks for the link.

My answer to that design craving/urge that I get every so often (usually when I'm inspired by someone else's creativity) is to find really cheap fabric to experiment with, so that I'm not so disappointed when the results are less than spectacular.
